class=\"has-text-align-left has-palette-color-4-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:15px;font-style:italic;font-weight:500;line-height:1.5\"><strong>Our group&#8217;s major charitable effort is to provide comfort quilts for Jefferson County Hospice, Child Protective Services and patients entering chemotherapy at Jefferson Healthcare. \u00a0 Most members make one or two of these a year, and some members make many more.\u00a0\u00a0Hospice quilts should be approximately 42&#8243;\u00a0 x 54&#8243; (lap quilt) or may be slightly smaller for patients confined to wheelchairs.\u00a0 CPS quilts may be any size up to approximately 65&#8243; x 80&#8243; (generous lap quilt for teenagers), while others should be smaller, if intended for toddlers or young children.\u00a0 Small children&#8217;s quilts with learning themes (alphabets, numbers) are really appreciated.\u00a0 Oncology quilts should be a similar size to hospice quilts, and if possible, should have a flannel or soft corduroy backing.\u00a0\u00a0<em><u>Oncology quilts must be washed prior to submission to minimize allergens<\/u><\/em>.\u00a0 All quilts should be made from good quality quilter&#8217;s cotton, and may be tied or quilted.\u00a0\u00a0 We try to make these quilts as cheerful and bright as possible.\u00a0 Below are some examples of recent contributions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:15px;font-style:italic;font-weight:500\">Each year, Cabin Fever Quilters make &#8220;challenge&#8221; quilts, in keeping with the theme of the Jefferson County Fair.&nbsp; One previous theme was &#8220;To the Fair and Beyond&#8221; with a focus on space travel.&nbsp; The challenge for each quilter is to include the &#8220;theme&#8221; fabric in a comfort
